Ms. Dotson brings a wealth of experience in public service, having served eight years in Law Enforcement in South Carolina and two years in Code Enforcement in Florida. Her extensive background, dedication to community service, and professional expertise make her a valuable addition to the Town of Fort White. We are confident that she will be a tremendous asset to our community.
About Code Enforcement
In the Town of Fort White, the Code Enforcement Department reports directly to the Town Clerk. The department's purpose is to promote, protect, and enhance the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Fort White.

Empowering our citizens to enhance our community through education, outreach, and voluntary compliance in every interaction.
The primary role of the Code Enforcement Department is to educate the public regarding Town codes, ordinances, and applicable state statutes. Through education and outreach, we encourage voluntary compliance and foster positive partnerships with residents, community organizations, and local agencies.
Maintaining and improving housing and property standards is a key priority. These efforts help preserve property values, enhance neighborhood pride, and contribute to the overall quality of life within our community.
The Code Enforcement Department works closely with residents to ensure that public health, safety, and quality of life are not adversely affected by violations of Town ordinances. These ordinances are established to protect the well-being of all citizens. Investigations and enforcement actions may be initiated either through complaints received by the Code Enforcement Department or through observations made by a Code Enforcement Officer during the course of their duties.
